Surface cracks in pools or problems with delaminations are usually a result of shrinkage, settling, or the Pebble Tec didn’t have good adhesion to the shotcrete. Pool steps, spa steps, and Pebble Tec installed out of the water (exterior rolled beams) are where we tend to see most of these failures. Pebble Tec does not do well out of the water. The repair product for Pebble Tec is designed to be out of water and contains acrylic binders to ensure a solid bond to the shotcrete. When repairing Pebble Tec, all the unbounded or delaminating Pebble Tec has to be removed to complete the repair. When it comes to matching the color of your existing Pebble Tec, we will always order the closest matching product and use color enhancers to get the closest match possible, but it’s never guaranteed to be an exact match. Once the repair is complete, it needs 24 hours to dry, then you can refill your pool and enjoy it again. If you have the original manufacturer and color of your Pebble Tec, it will help us to provide the closest color match possible.
