Expert Pool Tile Cleaning

Step 1
Before we begin the cleaning process, we use our pumps to lower the pool water level to the bottom of the pool tile. There’s no need to drain the entire pool, waste water, or pay for a restart on your pool chemicals.
Step 2
After we lower the water level, we hop in the pool with our customized equipment. Our state-of-the-art calcium removal tools are then used to eliminate the calcium buildup. We use pH-neutral, non-damaging salt to remove the calcium deposits. We never use glass beads on pool tile, as they can damage the tile.
Step 3
After all the calcium is removed, we rinse everything down, check for any spots we may have missed, and re-shoot them. We then vacuum out the media from the bottom of the pool using our pumps. The entire process usually takes less than two hours for most pools. Any remaining media in suspension will run through your filter and dissolve. Our cleaning media is pH neutral and won’t affect the balance of your pool chemicals.
What Is Salt Blasting?
Salt blasting is a specialized method used to remove calcium and mineral deposits from swimming pool tile. Doc’s uses Kieserite, a naturally occurring mineral salt that is propelled at low pressure against the calcium buildup along the pool waterline.
Kieserite is approximately 3.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it hard enough to remove many calcium deposits while remaining softer than typical swimming pool tile. This allows our equipment to break away stubborn buildup without relying on aggressive pressure washing or glass bead blasting on delicate tile surfaces.
Kieserite is pH neutral, water soluble and well suited for professional pool tile cleaning. As the calcium is removed, the cleaning media falls into the pool where our technicians vacuum it from the bottom.
