Get the Best Pool Tile Repair for Loose, Cracked, and Falling-Off Tiles

Do you have loose, cracked, chipped, or falling-off tiles? We can help. As long as you have the tile replacements, we can do the repair. We don’t have the ability to track down your pool tile. Even if you don’t have new tiles but have the old tiles that have fallen off, we can clean them front and back, repair, and re-grout. Many pools have shifted, or roots have grown through the back, pushing off the tiles. When it comes to tile repair, it’s not just “sticking the tile back on.” To properly repair tiles that have fallen off or are cracked or chipped, it’s a lot more complex than just sticking them on. In the case of tiles that have fallen off, they have fallen off for a reason, and unless you fix that, they typically will continue to pop off.

Why do the tiles pop off? It could be a variety of reasons: roots growing through the back, pool shifting, water getting behind the tile and freezing in a cold snap. Each case is different, and sometimes it’s difficult to determine. However, how the repair is done is what really matters. First, the thin set from the back of the tile and on the shell of the pool must be removed, along with the old grout, so you can have a clean, flush-mounted tile. After the surface of both the tile and pool are prepped properly, we then use a special adhesive to adhere it. Why don’t we use thin set? Because we have found over and over that the tiles end up popping off again. Unless you fix the actual cause for the tiles falling off or breaking, you typically get them falling off or breaking again. The adhesive we use has excellent bonding capabilities and also allows for flexing if there is movement or freezing. We’ve never had a failure with our method in over 200 tile repair jobs.
